Once the policyholder has applied and the application has been reviewed and approved, the policyholder will log in to their Strengthen Your Roof dashboard to request bid(s) from contractor(s).

For your convenience, below is a list of contractors who are experienced and knowledgeable about IBHS and the IBHS FORTIFIED Roof™ Program. When selecting your contractor, if your desired contractor is not on the provided list, please email NCRoofs@nciua.com or call 1-844-NCROOFS (844-627-6637). In this correspondence, please provide the contractor's name and phone number.

Your contractor may use their own bid sheets to provide an initial IBHS FORTIFIED Roof™ replacement quote to you. It will be helpful to ask your contractor to separate the FORTIFIED upgrade cost from the basic roof replacement. Separating the cost of the FORTIFIED upgrade from the basic roof replacement will assist you in understanding the savings associated with the Grant.

It is important to remind your contractor not to begin work until an approved FORTIFIED Evaluator has been assigned.
